Lately, I have been studying or reading about God’s love for his people. John Wrote that “God is Love.” Everything God says and does is in love. His love is so perfect and unconditional. You can never do anything for God not to love you. John 3:16 states that “God so loved the World..” This means he loves everyone! He loves the sinner and he demonstrates that love by doing what the next portion of the verse: “That he gave his one and only Son.” What does it mean when it says “He gave his one and only son”? His Son is Jesus. Jesus was and is known as the Son of man (because he was born of a woman) and the Son of God (He was born of God’s Spirit (read Luke to know about that)) Jesus was also the first fruit of God’s children. I remember reading in Exodus that God said through Moses that ” what opens the womb is his” this means, the first child that is ever born of man belongs to him. Jesus was the first baby that came out of Mary. So God gave his Son to us. He sent his son to die for us on the cross. Here is why: So that if we believe in his Son, we may have everlasting life!
Paul wrote this to the Romans: “For when we were without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.”(Romans 5:6) This is how he shows his love for us!
God’s love is extravagant! “Behold what manner of love the father has bestowed on us that we should be called the children of God! Therefore the world does not know us because it did not know him.”
My dear friends, fellow bloggers and readers, God’s love is unconditional and it is so great! His love is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit(Romans 5:5). To know this love you have to know God and be known by God. Jesus says that anyone comes to him he will not cast away or dismiss . You can know God by having a relationship with Jesus Christ. Jesus is the express image of God and the brightness of His Glory.” (Hebrews 1:3).
The Bible has a lot more on the subject of God’s Love, but I hope I get you thirsty or hungry enough to search out what the Bible has to say on it. The best way to know this love is to accept his Son in your heart.
