A love so real that you can feel it in your heart
A love so deep that no one can fathom it
A love so real that you can even taste it
A love so deep that you can swim in it.
Oh how I want to know this love.
This love can only be felt in your heart.
Oh how I long for a lasting love!
This love my friend is the love of God.
John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son that whosoever shall believe him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
1 John 4:9” In this that the love of God was manifested towards us , that God sent his one and only son into the world that we might live through him.”
Ephesians 3:7 “that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth–to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.”
The only place to go is to the Lord in prayer
Psalms 62:8 “Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us.”
As I sit at my computer after playing a game, I was overcome with emotion, but I knew from experience that if I pour out my heart by blogging it, I will receive unwelcome advice, suggestions and comments as if my commenters thought they could be Job’s friends. I have determine that the best place to go to pour out my heart is to the Lord. In fact, every time I ask “Where should I go?” Not supposing I need to pray, my sister would quote an old song, “But to the Lord in prayer.” Well, that is what I did! I cried out to the Lord because I know he will not judge, condemn or offer me unwanted advice. I knew he was a safe refuge.
David knew what it was like too. He actually had no one to go to but to the Lord. He was going through all kinds of hardship and trials: people. even friends betraying him, being hunted down by Saul all because of his jealousy of David. David knew that by going to God, he can trust God to help him in his time of need.
If you ever feel that no understand, God does. He knows our hearts and he knows what we are going through. You can trust him. Go to him and hold nothing back. After all, he is not or will not be surprised at your tears, anger or whatever you are feeling. Pour out your hearts.
