A Review of Write For the King of Glory

Are you a Christian author? Do you desire to improve craft and much more? Are you unsure which ebook to download because there are so many out there? I know your pain. And the truth is we don’t know which one would really benefit us right? Certain authors just write from a worldly point of view and to be honest, if we want our books to glorify God, you may not get that in secular ebooks.  Sure the advice and tips may be the same, but then again, there are elements in secular books that are not in ones for Christians. Author Mary C. Findley had written a book  in which I recommend every Christian author to read. She also writes from her experience as a blogger,  cover designer and editor.  Her book is so helpful and covers much more than a  how to: from using social medias, to blogging.  You can find her book at Smashwords.com and Amazon.com. Not only is Mary an editor and cover designer but she also writes steam punk and historical fiction.

A Different Kind of King

Jesus Christ or rather Jesus the Messiah. Long before Jesus was born into the world, God spoke through the prophets about the Messiah. He spoke about his humble birth, his ministry and his death. He also spoke about Jesus Kingship, but the Jews misread all that. They got their hopes up. You see, the Jews were under the Roman rule. The Romans weren’t nice people.  The soldiers weren’t Jewish–they were all Romans. There were a few that recognize who Jesus was but most of them didn’t. The Jewish people wanted a king to free them from the Roman’s rule, but Jesus didn’t come to set them free from Roman Oppression–He came to set us free from our sins. You see, Jesus is a different kind of King. He taught that we should love our enemies, pray for those who persecute us or mistreat us. He said if  someone asked you to go a mile, go two miles. Nope, he didn’t sound like he would be rescuing at all. And a week before his crucifixion, Jesus did something no King would ever do–he rode on a Donkey. This was prophesied in the book of Zechariah Chapter 9:9 “Rejoice greatly, O Daughter of Zion; shout, O Daughter of Jerusalem; behold thy king cometh to thee; he is just and having salvation; lowly and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt, the foal of an ass.”  Doesn’t sound like something an earthly king would do is it?  Jesus rode show his humility. He was called the Humble King.  He came to serve and not to be served. He came to gave his life as a ransom. Not many knew this, but a week later, he would become the ultimate sacrifice. Many thought they finally rid the earth of him.

I am reminded of what Jesus told his disciples when Andrew told him that some Greeks who wanted to see him. Jesus said, “Unless a kernel of wheat fall into the ground, it will die. and it abideth alone.” He was talking about his death. He was the kernel of wheat that died and the fruit he was referring to was US! It was all who believe on him! The fruit were the Greeks as well.  Not many believed on him, but they will.  Even the Roman Soldier believed when eh saw how Jesus died, “Surely He was the Son of God!”

My friends, the time is coming when we will all see him as the Conquering King! This Jesus was prophesied by the Apostle John or John the Revelator.  It is a long portion of scripture but it is found in Revelations 19. This is where John describes Jesus when he comes again. This time Jesus  will come on a horse and not an ass. He will come in the clouds!  (Rev 19:11-14)

Be encouraged! If Jesus is your Lord and Saviour, he is coming again and we will reign with him for ever and ever and ever. And all will know from the greatest to the least that he is the King of Kings! Now THAT is a different Kind of King!Image
